Entered Alabama Governor’s App Challenge

The Alabama Governor’s App Challenge is a programming challenge where 2 students partner up and compete with others to see who can make the best app. The grand prize is $500 for whichever one is voted to be the best. Me and my partner decided to create an app called The Pursuit of Science where a researcher can submit their scientific papers and have them peer reviewed more efficiently than if they went the normal route with it. We got 3rd place in the school so we didn’t move on to the state level but it was out of 30 different projects so I’m happy with how we placed. Everyone in our AP Computer Science Principals class was required to enter this contest as their midterm and me and my partner ended up both scoring 100% on it. He was a much more experienced programmer in the software we were using so I was stuck with more of the User Interface design than actual code, but I think I still learned a lot.
